COLORADO PHYSICAL THERAPIST

You deserve a whole person approach to pelvic health!

What sets CPH apart?

You may have been in physical therapy before and already have an idea of what typical PT should look like. However, I think you’ll find that we do things quite differently here! After years in the typical medical model of physical therapy, I grew tired of having to treat patients like just another cog in the wheel. It all felt cold, rushed, and not individualized or personal at all. I created CPH so that I could provide the type of care as a physical therapist that I always believed patients deserved.

Our Three Steps to Healing

Restore balance

Using hands-on techniques and corrective exercises, we will first find the imbalances in your body leading to your symptoms and then work together to restore balance where it is needed. During this time, you should already notice a gradual improvement in your symptoms.

Retrain better habits

After identifying the movement patterns and habits that lead to your imbalances, we will work with individualized exercises to help retrain these patterns and create better habits for you. During this time, you should continue to see improvements in your symptoms and feel better and better carryover between sessions.

Build resiliency

We will utilize appropriate strengthening to solidify your new patterns and make sure they are now a part of your daily life. We will progressively and safely overload your body with strength exercises in order to build up resiliency. During this time, we will be gradually progressing you back to all of your physical and daily activities.

At ConqHER Pelvic Health, you can expect that these core values are reflected in all that we do:

In order to fully help you, we must treat you as a whole person, not just a pelvic floor.

You deserve for your medical providers to put in the work to find and treat the underlying cause, not just your symptoms.

Physical therapists should provide guidance for maintenance and prevention for your optimal health.

When your physical therapist has a great work / life balance, they are more able to provide excellent care for you.

A PT should always have a drive for continuing education and continuous improvements in knowledge and skills in order to provide the best outcomes for our patients.

Strength training is the core of building resiliency against all of life’s stressors and must be incorporated into your treatment plan and ongoing maintenance plan.

Patient care should be dictated by medical practitioners based on what is best YOU, not by insurance regulations driven by profits.

About your physical therapist

Hi, I’m Dr. Amanda! I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy and my passion in the PT world is in pelvic health and women’s health conditions. After receiving my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University in 2012, I went on to earn my doctorate degree in physical therapy in 2015 from Hardin Simmons University. I spent about 5 years working as a general orthopedic PT and was trained in a very specialized form of manual therapy through the institute of physical art. During these years, I mastered how to address conditions related to the spine, hips, pelvis, shoulders, foot and ankle, and so much more! I believe those years are what truly makes me equipped to address pelvic floor issues from a whole body perspective and also help my pelvic health patients with anything going on in their body!

Years into my PT practice, I became very interested in women’s health and supporting women, especially through pregnancy and postpartum and I went through the pelvic floor training and also obstetric training from the American Physical Therapy Association’s Academy of Pelvic Health. Shortly after this, I started ConqHER Pelvic Health so that I could provide the type of care that I truly believe moms deserve.

I am also a Certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Specialist because helping women stay active during pregnancy and feel strong again postpartum is where I see moms truly thrive.

If you have dreams of living your life and getting back to your activities that make you YOU, free of pain, bladder leaks, or pelvic floor issues, I would be honored to be part of that journey with you!

In Network Vs. Out of Network

ConqHER Pelvic Health has strategically chosen to be a cash based physical therapy practice for the benefit of our patients. We feel that healthcare that is dictated by insurance companies is not in the best interests of patients. It prevents us from providing the quality of care we believe that you deserve. Keep reading for a peek inside the difference in care you can expect to receive between a cash based vs. an in network based PT practice.

Cash Based

  • Full session times based on the most optimal treatment for your condition.
  • Your therapist’s undivided attention for the entirety of your treatment sessions.
  • Space to feel fully heard so that your experience and beliefs are valued by your therapist.
  • A whole body based treatment approach.
  • A plan of care directed towards the true driver or underlying cause of your pain and dysfunction.
  • A combination of hands on treatment, mind-body training, and strengthening as part of your plan of care.
  • Transparency of healthcare costs – no surprise bills that you’ll get hit with down the road!

In Network

  • Session times limited by insurance payouts, which will likely lead to the need for more treatment sessions throughout your plan of care.
  • Sharing your therapist’s attention with other patients during your treatment times or getting passed to assistants or aids for part of your session time.
  • Rushed sessions due to high patient volumes in busy clinics.
  • Treatment plans limited to treating only your symptoms, without a focus on the underlying cause.
  • Passive treatments from machines in order to increase PT availability for other patients.
  • Surprise bills down the road due to insurance coverage denials that your PT cannot predict.
